Job Description

Summary:

In this role, you will be a key contributor to Meta's Global Energy Team, specifically the Asset Management Team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, including: supporting/leading negotiations and amendments, ensuring contract compliance, monitoring project development and construction status, and reporting on financial and operational performance for operating renewable projects. You will have the opportunity to master contract details, analyze financial and operational project performance, resolve disputes, and propose creative solutions.

Required Skills:

Energy Manager (Renewable Contracts) Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's executed renewable energy contract requirements
2. Create, maintain, update documents and data related to renewable energy contracts
3. Track counter party compliance with contract milestones and other deliverables
4. Support invoicing and reporting on renewable energy contracts, and ensure that RECs, costs and project performance are consistent with contract terms and conditions
5. Respond to counter party inquires and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues as needed
6. Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution
7. Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations
8. Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders
9. Analyze renewable energy operational project performance 10. Analyze renewable energy financial project performace 11. Track project progress through development and construction milestones and track against schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar 13. 5+ years of work experience with an IPP, owner operator, electric utility, energy supplier, or energy intensive industrial or consumer company 14. Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, especially wind and solar energy supply contracts 15. Experience drafting official correspondence between counter parties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders 16.

Experience with G-Suite, Excel, Word, and Tableau 17. Experience in building cross-functional relationships 18.
