Job Description

Orange EV is seeking an Electric Vehicle Field Service Technician in New York to perform field service activities, diagnose and repair vehicles, analyze performance data, and collaborate with customers. About the position

The Electric Vehicle Field Service Technician will be responsible for performing field service activities for Orange EV vehicles within a designated region in New York. This role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with customers and service providers to ensure efficient operations. The technician will also support sales and marketing efforts, conduct training, and manage service logistics.

Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair Orange EV vehicles at a systemic/component level.

• Utilize the Remote Monitoring System to determine service plans and prioritize customer needs.
,
• Accurately record all service activities in the service record-keeping system.
,
• Communicate with customers and third-party service providers to aid in diagnosis and promote efficient repairs.
,
• Work with site managers and electricians on charging infrastructure logistics.
,
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and prepare reports on their condition.
,
• Support Customer Technicians and Third-Party Service Providers with ancillary repairs.
,
• Provide secure remote locations for tools and parts.
,
• Deliver Operator and Maintenance training and support sales and business development efforts.
,
• Travel as required for training and to meet service team goals.

Requirements
• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
,
• 1 or more years of experience in automotive or electrical industries.
,
• Intermediate to advanced level experience with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and TEAMS.

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service.
,
• Analytical approach to problem-solving.
,
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50lbs at waist level and occasionally up to 75-100lbs.
,
• Ability to squat, sit, lay under, or climb on the vehicle routinely.
,
• Ability to handle multiple functions and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
,
• Ability to set and prioritize goals and achieve them per a schedule.
,
• Ability to execute and follow through on instructions given by supervisor.
,
• Ability to articulate clearly in writing.
