Job Description

Britannia Industries Limited is seeking an EHS Officer for their Ranjangaon, Maharashtra location. Candidates should have a B.E/B.Tech or B.Sc. in relevant fields and at least 5 years of experience in EHS within FMCG, API, or automotive sectors. Responsibilities include establishing EHS management systems, conducting risk assessments, developing training, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting EHS culture through communication and training. Marathi language proficiency is mandatory.

Education Qualification

B.E / B. Tech (Environment / Fire & Safety / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical. B. Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics.

Professional Qualification
• 1 Year Advance Diploma In Industrial Safety approved by MSBTE./ Diploma in Fire & Safety

Experience

At least 5 years after ADIS in FMCG / API / Automotive manufacturing sector.

Operation and Maintenance of Fire Fighting equipment's, Knowledge about fire hydrant system, Extinguisher, smoke detector.

Experience in Environmental Management, effluent treatment plant, Air water pollution controls.

Job Responsibilities

Establish and Maintain EHS management system;
• To establish, maintain, monitor and improve Environment, Safety & Health systems at Britannia.
• To communicate the EHS policy and implement.
• To assist all the functions to conduct the Hazard Identification and Assessment of Risk and Opportunities related to EHS at Britannia.
• To develop and implement various Operational Control procedures for mitigating the Significant EHS risks.
• To develop various training modules on EHS and finalize training plan. Ensure training are conducted as per training plan.
• To identify the legal requirements related to EHS and to ensure legal compliance. To regularly evaluate the legal compliance.
• To design, implement, monitor and continually improve EHS Management systems (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001) at all the levels.
• To coordinate for implementation of Emergency response plan

Generate an Environment, Safety & Health Culture
• Create a culture which facilitate the Best practices in EHS.
• Communicate on Environment, Safety & Health issues to the employees regularly and methodically.
• Create awareness on EHS through regular communications, campaigns, promotional events, health check-up camps and quizzes etc.
• Conduct regular trainings for the targeted set of people all over site.
• Conduct mock-drills organization on a periodic set frequency.
• Facilitate EHS related KAIZEN ideation, execution and replication.
• Conduct periodical inspections / audits by self and external parties & involving volunteer employees for EHS enhancements.
• Use their EHS network for best practice sharing for culture, awareness, etc.
• Liaison with Govt. bodies as required.
• Monitor and report incidents including near misses to investigate / analyse the same, identify the contributing causes and ensure closure of the actions identified to prevent reoccurrence.

Language Requirement"

Marathi Mandatory, English, Hindi

Maharashtra Candidate preferred.
