We are looking for an EH&S Facility Lead to join the team with a large manufacturing company in Taylor, South Carolina!

Job Summary

The EH&S Facility Lead will be responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace safety programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations. This role is critical in maintaining a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments in manufacturing and production areas.
• Manage, design, implement and coordinate safety plan.
• Assist in developing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Investigate workplace incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
• Maintain and inspect safety equipment, including PPE, fire prevention systems, and emergency response tools.
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels.
• Assist with hazard communication programs, including SDS management and chemical safety.
• Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Schedule annual testing for safety/health programs.

Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in a steel or manufacturing environment.
• CSP or CIH preferred.
• OSHA 500/501 Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety best practices, and industrial hygiene.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify workplace hazards.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
