Job Description

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India is seeking an EHS Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The role involves implementing EHS standards (ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018), conducting assessments, training, and managing audits across multiple sites. Candidates should have a BE/MSc in relevant fields and 4-6 years of EHS experience. Certification as a lead auditor is preferred. This is a full-time position based on-site.
Tasks

Drive the implementation of EHS standards, specifically ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, across Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Pvt. Ltd. (MBRDI) sites, that includes three locations in Bengaluru and one in Pune.

Preferred Qualification:

BE in Environmental/ Mechanical/ chemical or MSc in environmental / chemical / chemistry

Preferred Experience:

• 4 to 6 years of EHS expertise from engineering or software service organization (Office and electronics lab Setup).

• Certified Lead auditor for ISO 14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018

• Experience in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

• Good to have NEBOSH IGC in Environmental management or Occupational health and safety or IOSH certified.

Role Responsibility:

• Define and redefine process associated to environment, health, and safety management systems.

• Drive implementation of Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems at all MBRDI sites in accordance to ISO 14001and ISO 45001 and support in certification process

• Conduct aspect and impact assessments of the facilities and activities to identify and eliminate or reduce the impact.

• Conduct hazard and risk assessment of the facilities and activities to identify and mitigate risks.

• Conduct training and presentations for environment, health, and safety matters.

• Program manage EHS Internal audits and track the NCs for closure.

• Facilitate RCAs for NCs reported in internal audit, external audit, and safety inspections etc.

• Support incident management both environment and OHS.

• Support and track EHS performance metrics monthly and investigate the shortfalls to identify the cause of the short fall.

• Coordinate and complete monthly food test activity for all location

• Conduct EHS MRMs

• Perform 5S audit to ensure the hygiene of all electronics Labs.

• Digitalizing EHS performance metrics reporting
Qualifications

BE in Environmental/ Mechanical/ chemical or MSc in environmental / chemical / chemistry
