Position Overview
Based in Chattanooga, TN, the technician will work on projects including stream restoration, stormwater management, planting, invasive species removal, and landscape construction. The role involves seasonal work, requiring over 50 hours per week, with potential weekend work and regional travel up to 75%, including overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate equipment such as trucks, UTVs, brush cutters, and chainsaws, with safety as a priority
• Use GPS systems for navigation and documentation
• Apply herbicides for invasive species control
• Participate in planting, seeding, and vegetation monitoring projects
• Assist with stormwater sampling and equipment maintenance
Physical Requirements
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Navigate wetlands, streams, hills, and rugged terrain
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions for long hours
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Interest in natural resources and outdoor work
• Physical and mental fitness for outdoor activities in all weather
Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ years in ecological restoration
• Ability to interpret project plans
• Commercial Pesticide License (if applicable)
• Knowledge of native and invasive species
• Experience with herbicide application and planting techniques
