EA Engineering is hiring an Early Career Environmental Design Engineer for their Lincoln, NE office. The role involves collecting field data, analyzing datasets, conducting modeling, creating design drawings, and overseeing construction activities. The position offers hands-on experience on diverse projects aimed at enhancing communities and protecting ecosystems. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated early career Design Engineer to join our Lincoln, NE office. As a design hub for the company, our Lincoln team leads diverse environmental engineering projects from coast to coast, including Hawaii, Guam, Alaska, and unique locations like the Great Lakes. You will be part of a collaborative team working on a wide array of projects that enhance communities and protect ecosystems.

What you will do:
• Collecting field data for environmental assessments
• Analyzing complex datasets to drive project decisions
• Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis
• Creating detailed design drawings and technical specifications
• Preparing reports and developing cost estimates
• Overseeing construction activities to ensure successful project outcomes

Our Projects: Our team takes on a wide variety of impactful projects, including sediment remediation, stream stabilization, aquatic habitat restoration, water quality improvement, watershed planning, subsurface remediation, and stormwater management. What you will need:
• B.S. in environmental, civil, biological systems engineering, or related field.
• 0-4 years of related experience.
• EIT preferred.
• Experience with design plans and specifications.
• Experience with construction inspection, and hydrologic and hydraulics modeling desired.
• Critical thinking and technical writing skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying levels of project team members.
• Must be flexible, adaptable, and eager to solve diverse environmental problems.
