RMF Engineering, Inc. is seeking an engineering undergraduate for a full-time Design Engineering Co-op focused on Sustainability and Building Energy Management in Charleston, SC. The role involves assisting with mechanical or electrical design tasks, using AutoCAD and Revit, and gaining hands-on experience in building energy management. Job Summary

We are seeking an engineering undergraduate for a full-time co-op position to assist with mechanical or electrical design responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with design software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, while working alongside senior engineering staff.

About the Role

• Assist with mechanical (HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing) or electrical (Power Systems and Lighting) engineering responsibilities, including design, field observation, and survey activities">
• Participate in document production using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM, building information modeling)">
• Emphasis on building energy management and sustainable design principles">
• Opportunity to witness field installations of systems and work alongside experienced engineers">
• Responsibilities will increase with training and follow-on internships are highly encouraged based on performance and attitude">

Requirements
">
">
• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program at an accredited US college or university">
• Satisfactory completion of freshman year with a minimum GPA of 2.8">
• Ability to complete the cooperative education program in accordance with their College's or University's guidelines">
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills">
• Preferred qualifications: authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, high school or entry-level knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, interest in consulting engineering field">
