Department Director

The University of Georgia is seeking a Department Head for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in Athens, GA. As Department Head, you will provide strategic leadership and vision for the department, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity. Your expertise in Agricultural and Applied Economics will be instrumental in promoting the department's research, Extension, and outreach programs, as well as developing and evaluating academic programs and curricula.
• Support and enhance the department's research, Extension, and outreach programs in Agricultural and Applied Economics
• Promote innovation in research, teaching, and Extension to address current and emerging challenges in Agricultural and Applied Economics
• Provide coaching and mentoring for faculty to develop their expertise and increase their success in obtaining competitive grants, publishing high-impact research, and delivering meaningful outreach
• Lead and oversee the department's teaching and academic programs, including majors and minors in Agribusiness, Agricultural and Applied Economics, Environmental Economics and Management, and Hospitality and Food Industry Management (HFIM)
