Carbon is seeking a Data Analyst for a 90-day pilot project in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The role involves tracking loan performance, analyzing repayment data, and creating reports and dashboards. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in fintech. The position is hybrid remote, allowing for some remote work while being based in Port Harcourt.

About the Role
Carbon is hiring a Data Analyst to support a new lending product pilot in Port Harcourt. You’ll work directly with the business lead to track performance, analyze repayment data, and provide daily insights that drive lending decisions.
This is a fast-paced, 90-day pilot role with potential to convert to full-time if the product scales.


What You’ll Do

Build and maintain daily/weekly reports on loan performance, repayment trends, and customer segments
Clean and analyze data from multiple sources: internal systems, bank statements, field reports
Create simple dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets to monitor key metrics
Flag risks early and support the team with data for business decisions
Work with field officers to improve data collection from customers

What We’re Looking For

2+ years experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in fintech, banking, or microfinance
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills: pivots, formulas, charts. SQL is a plus
Able to work with messy, real-world data and deliver insights fast
Based in Port Harcourt and available to start immediately
Comfortable working in a startup environment with changing priorities
