Job Description

The Cultural Resources Technician position at Colorado State University involves supporting the CRM Program at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY. This full-time, seasonal role includes fieldwork, data collection, site inspections, and assisting with documentation and tribal meetings. The technician will also collaborate with the GIS department to improve curation records accessibility, while gaining additional professional skills.
A Cultural Resources Technician (Seasonal Worker, Full-time, 40 hours/week) position is available with Colorado State University’s (CSU) Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This entry-level position will support the Cultural Resources Management (CRM) Program at F.E. Warren Air Force Base (AFB), WY with a combination of fieldwork and office tasks. The technician will visit archaeological sites to gather data, conduct inventories and assessments, and perform site inspections or monitoring. Additional duties include developing Section 106 documentation and assisting the base with tribal meetings. Finally, the technician will work with the GIS department to develop strategies for making curation records more accessible.
