About the position

The Corporate Sustainability Intern at Jabil will support global environmental, social, and governance initiatives within the company's law department. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainability efforts while gaining hands-on experience in research, analysis, and presentation in a large global tech company. The intern will assist in preparing for compliance with new legal disclosure requirements and will engage with Jabil's leadership team, participate in professional development, and collaborate with fellow interns.

Responsibilities
• Ensure all project requirements and objectives are correctly gathered and understood for execution.

• Assist in recognizing project Key Performance Indicators and gather information regarding scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.

• Identify project risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
,
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders and develop research documents, analyses, and presentations.
,
• Conduct desktop research and compose summaries or write-ups for sustainability reporting.
,
• Coordinate tasks within multi-functional teams to achieve project success, accommodating different time zones as needed.
,
• Gather information for weekly communication forums regarding project status and issues.
,
• Organize verbal and written ideas clearly in a business style.
,
• Respond in a timely manner to inquiries from internal personnel.
,
• Adhere to environmental, safety, and health rules and regulations as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements
• Currently enrolled at an accredited university/college as an undergraduate or graduate student.

• Understanding of the corporate sustainability/ESG sector and strong interest in climate, business sustainability, and clean and renewable energy options.
,
• Preferred majors include Environmental or other natural sciences, environmental law, Engineering, Sustainability, or related fields.

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Creative thinker with a passion for corporate environmental and social responsibility.

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
,
• Ability to self-manage and work effectively in a remote or workplace environment.

• Problem-solving and collaboration competencies.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for project management and communication.

• Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards and practices.
