Job Description

The Nevada Department of Wildlife is seeking Conservation Aid 2 positions to assist in wildlife management and conservation projects. The role is a trainee capacity with waived minimum qualifications until June 30, 2025. Positions last 3 to 6 months, typically working four 10-hour days in the field, including camping at remote locations. No degree is required for this full-time position.
The PositionConservation Aids assist professional staff in a variety of projects involving the conservation and preservation of the State's natural resources. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. OR Incumbents perform basic tasks or elements of the job not requiring the additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the next level in the series. PER EXECUTIVE ORDER 2024-007, ALL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN WAIVED FOR THIS POSITION UNTIL JUNE 30TH, 2025.
