Biologist 1 - Fisheries

Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. This position within the Fisheries Division at Nevada Department of Wildlife is responsible for multiple sportfish waters in Humboldt and Pershing counties. Primary sportfish duties generally include: population inventory, fish introductions, fish eradication projects, angler surveys, completion of annual reports for each water, development and review of fishing season and stocking recommendations, fish hauling and stocking, and coordination with local wildlife CABs (County Advisory Board) and sportsmen's groups.
