Job Description

22nd Century Technologies is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator/Climate Change Facilitator for a 12+ month contract in Madison, WI. The role involves collaborating on outreach strategies, conducting community planning meetings, and summarizing results for climate action plans. Candidates should possess strong communication and analytical skills and have familiarity with climate change initiatives. This is a part-time, remote position with a pay rate of $40-$45/hr.
Title: Community Outreach Coordinator/Climate Change Facilitator

This is a 12+ months contract position, with potential for extension.

Key Details:
• Pay Rate: $40-$45/hr (W2, no benefits)
• Location: Remote (Madison, WI)
• Position Type: On-call/Part-time

Role and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with OSCE on outreach and communications strategy for Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program.
• Identify stakeholder engagement activities with Outreach and Engagement Specialist.
• Conduct 9 regional community-focused strategic planning meetings with entities such as metropolitan statistical areas, regional planning commissions, Tribal Nations, state agencies, local government jurisdictions, and non-governmental organizations.
• Summarize strategic planning session results into concise reports for Priority and Comprehensive Climate Action plans.
• Assist in organizing information for required reports and work with coordinating entities to define measures and metrics.
• Plan, prepare, and recommend communications tools and tactics to reach target audiences.
• Work with OSCE staff to design and develop facilitation for WI CAN virtual and live meetings, community-based climate action data collection, and building the WI CAN network.
• Perform qualitative analysis of outreach and engagement, maintain WI CAN website and LinkedIn group site, and provide support to WI CAN members as needed.

Please note that this position requires regular communication with OSCE staff via email, phone, or virtual meetings. In-person collaboration is not expected unless at in-person events.
