About The Role

We're looking for environmental science specialists to develop advanced, real-world problems in climate modeling, ecology, and sustainability — helping train the next generation of AI models to reason with scientific precision.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for Masters and PhD-level researchers who want to put their deep domain knowledge to work on something genuinely impactful — without leaving behind the rigor and intellectual challenge they thrive on.

What You'll Do
Design, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific depthApply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related fields to construct complex, meaningful problem statementsEvaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, rigor, and clarityCollaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to push the boundaries of what AI can understand in your fieldEnsure all deliverables meet a high standard of scientific integrity and communicative clarity
Who You Are
Masters or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related fieldDeep expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, ecology, environmental sustainability, or earth systems scienceProficient in Python or R for research or data analysisExceptionally strong written communicator — you can explain complex science clearly and preciselyDetail-oriented, rigorous, and self-directed when working independentlyFluent in English
Nice to Have
Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflowsBackground in scientific writing, peer review, or curriculum developmentFamiliarity with AI tools or language model evaluation as an end userExperience communicating complex environmental science to interdisciplinary audiences
