Climate Change Mitigation Expert

RTI International is seeking a Climate Change Mitigation Expert for the USAID Mexico Partnership for Net Zero Cities in Mexico, MO. Job Requirements

To succeed as the Chief of Party for the USAID Mexico Partnership for Net Zero Cities, you must have a strong background in project management, energy sector leadership, and climate change mitigation. You will be responsible for leading a diverse team of professionals and working closely with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Experience in senior-level project management, preferably in international donor programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of scaling up energy efficiency, climate change policy, and climate change mitigation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a common vision among diverse partners.
Responsibilities
• Overall project management, including technical, administrative, financial, operational, security, and logistical management.
• Project vision and leadership, managing project design and delivery.
• Liaise with USAID and RTI home office on technical and financial matters, implementing programming and reporting requirements.
• Preparation and delivery of high-quality reports to USAID, including quarterly and annual reports.
• Development of the annual work plan and associated activities, engaging stakeholders, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Synergies across technical components of the project, promoting good team planning, coordination, and communication.
• Ensures annual project targets and objectives are met.
