Engineer- Principal USA (Manufacturing Solutions Development)
Perrysburg, OH
Lead process or equipment improvement under the oversight of respective Area Manager or Sr. Managers to meet Manufacturing P90 metrics. Manage and lead group of engineers and/ or technicians either directly or through the course of a project/assignment. Work with stake-holders like Development Engineering, Global Supply Chain or Quality & Reliability to resolve technical problems and develop robust manufacturing processes. Initiate and lead complex equipment or process changes following CMS stage-gate process and work with Global Alignment Team counterparts to successfully replicate the changes.
Scientist- Data and Modeler II USA
Perrysburg, OH
This position supports organizational strategy and operations through design and statistical analysis of business initiatives and experiments. Works with business partners to understand what the business needs and issues are to address. Applies knowledge of statistics, data mining, and machine learning (e.g., predictive modeling, simulation) or other mathematical techniques to recognize patterns and create insights from business data. Designs, develops, and evaluates statistical and predictive models that lead to business solutions. Communicates findings and recommendations to management across different departments. Supports implementation efforts.
Engineer- Controls I (PM Shift/D Crew)
Perrysburg, OH
The following is an entry level corporate controls position where a successful candidate will be required to support manufacturing operations, assist with equipment implementation/startup, development of electrical controls systems/designs, PLC/HMI programing, data collection and optimization of manufacturing processes control systems. This position directly supports a manufacturing site, the successful candidate will be assigned to AM shift is 6:00AM – 6:10PM. This results in a rotating 36/48-hour work week schedule, which includes working every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Technician Manufacturing Engineering (PM Crew)
Perrysburg, OH
• Troubleshoot, repair, problem-solve, and maintain all electrical control problems for all manufacturing equipment.
• Test all equipment and control functions of new controls established or designated by First Solar Controls dept.
• Download new software changes/upgrades specified by the Controls Dept. and maintain current software databases for Base Plant
• Assist IT Dept. with the setup, installation, and testing of all communication devices for PLC’s.
• Identify, research, prepare and present solutions to control problems and continuous improvement projects
• Document and follow-up problems relating to controls.
• Provide all written documentation for indication of proper testing on all projects submitted from the Controls Dept.
• Assist new equipment commissioning technicians to verify that their testing of control systems is done correctly and efficiently completed
• Research, prepare and present solutions to problems.
• Responsible to interface with other Company and Supplier Representatives
• Maintains effective communications levels and fosters team work
• Ensures adherence to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards
• Interfaces effectively and cooperatively with other Departments
• Performs predictive and preventative maintenance on any or all production equipment
• Develops and implements new electrical preventative maintenance tasks, procedures, and schedules
• Perform troubleshooting of robotic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in Maximo reporting and parts search
• Perform additional tasks as assigned, from the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Lead.
Engineer- Manufacturing I USA
Trinity, AL
The Manufacturing Engineer will install and qualify new process equipment as well as troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line in a timely manner. These include tool-down issues, yield, quality issues, and identifying actions to prevent repeat issues. Identifying and/or implementing system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield, and product performance goals.
Lead- Technical Group Module USA
New Iberia, LA
Supervises and leads assigned shift engineering and shift maintenance technicians in the repair and process control of module equipment to meet shift goals in terms of Safety, Quality, Yield, and Throughput, in a cost-efficient manner.
Technician- Manufacturing Engineer I (B Crew/PM Shift)
New Iberia, LA
Assist in the installation and qualification of systems, troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals. Will include supporting the operation of pilot-line equipment to define a new process followed by a transition to start-up, qualification, and implementation of the new production process with the eventual evolution into a standard production MET position.
Supervisor – Recycling and Wastewater – Nights/B Crew
New Iberia, LA
Plans and supervises the scheduling of daily work assignments of all wastewater treatment and Recycling personnel. Responsible for training and developing direct reports. Provides clear direction to hourly associates, contractors, and vendors to ensure that First Solar’s standards are being met. Responsible for communicating objectives, systems, and policies to direct reports across four shifts. Responsible for working with the appropriate departments to handle employee relations issues. This position is a frontline plant supervisor position with majority of the work time spent on the plant floor to assist technicians and to manage plant operations in a safe and compliant manner. The position is expected to collaborate with other area supervisors to meet the company goals.
Engineer- Manufacturing II USA (1st Shift)
New Iberia, LA
Design, install, and qualify new automation/process equipment. Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line in a timely manner. These include; tool down issues, yield, quality issues and identify actions to prevent repeat issues. Identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.
