Origin Energy Services Ltd is seeking a Business Relationship Lead - E-Mobility in Melbourne, Australia. The role involves driving business growth in the EV charging sector through sales and strategic partnerships with government and enterprise clients. Key responsibilities include winning new business, managing tenders, and maintaining key accounts. Candidates should have B2B sales experience, strong communication skills, and an understanding of EV infrastructure. This is a permanent position with a preference for Melbourne location.

About the role
A new opportunity to join the Origin E-Mobility team, is now available. As the Business Relationship Lead – Strategic & Public Sector, you’ll play a key role in expanding Origin Zero’s footprint in the EV charging space. Your focus will be on securing new business, responding to tenders, and developing long-term partnerships with state and local government bodies and large strategic enterprise customers. You'll combine sales, account management, and strategic business development to drive growth in one of the fastest-evolving sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Winning new business – Engage with public sector and enterprise customers to deliver innovative EV charging solutions.
• Leading tender responses – Work on bids for government infrastructure projects, ensuring compelling and competitive proposals.
• Building strong relationships – Be a trusted advisor to customers, helping them navigate their transition to sustainable mobility.
• Steer sales and growth – Meet and exceed targets to contribute to the success of Origin Zero.
• Managing key accounts – Maintain and nurture strategic relationships to maximise long-term opportunities
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will need strategic business development and sales experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management, preferably with government or enterprise customers. You should be focused on delivering solutions that meet customer needs. You should also be able to perform well in a competitive environment, motivated by achieving and exceeding targets, and capable of seeing the bigger picture and finding creative ways to drive growth. You will also bring;
• Proven ability to write compelling government tenders and RFP responses, ensuring competitive and high-quality submissions.
• Strong ability to engage with and influence public sector decision-makers, procurement teams, and executive-level stakeholders.
• Understanding of EV charging infrastructure, energy solutions, or technology-driven services is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop proposals that align with customer needs, including ROI, P&L, and business case development.
• written and verbal communication skills to present complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and drive business outcomes without constant oversight.
