We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager to drive the commercial growth of our flexible packaging segment. Mission of the Role
Identify, engage, and win new business opportunities for Pakka's flexible packaging solutions while building a strong market presence through strategic partnerships and innovative sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement a sales plan to grow the flexible packaging business in the U.S. market.
Drive direct sales efforts to onboard new customers and expand existing accounts.
Execute tactical sales initiatives to capture market share and generate revenue.
2. Customer Acquisition and Relationship Building:
Identify and engage potential clients in key industries such as food & beverage, CPG, and industrial packaging.
Build long-term customer relationships by understanding their business needs and offering tailored solutions.
Work closely with operations and R&D teams to ensure product alignment with customer expectations.
3. Market Expansion and Business Development:
Establish a strong pipeline of opportunities to scale the business over the next few years.
Research market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to position Pakka. as an industry leader.
Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies that align with sustainable and performance-driven packaging trends.
4. Technical Sales and Industry Expertise:
Gain a deep understanding of flexible packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability aspects.
Educate customers on technical advantages, performance metrics, and environmental benefits of Pakka's solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to co-develop innovative packaging solutions based on customer needs.
5. Execution and Performance Tracking:
Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Utilize CRM tools to track sales activity, customer engagement, and pipeline growth.
Provide regular sales reports and insights to senior leadership.
Key Outcomes (Year 1-3)
Establish a strong sales foundation by acquiring key customers and building brand credibility in the market.
Develop a well-defined sales pipeline that supports long-term business growth.
Expand Pakka's presence in the flexible packaging industry, positioning the company as a go-to supplier for sustainable solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Packaging Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
4-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in packaging, materials, or B2B manufacturing.
Strong understanding of flexible packaging, sustainability, or industrial materials is a plus.
Proven ability to sell, close deals, and manage customer relationships.
Skills:
High energy, self-motivated, and eager to build a business from the ground up.
Strong negotiation and communication skills with a passion for customer engagement.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
