Job Description

American Foods Group, LLC is hiring a Building System Maintenance Technician for their Green Bay, WI plant. Responsibilities include overseeing mechanical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and food quality standards. Candidates must be able to work in various temperatures and complete required training. Prior maintenance experience in a USDA facility is preferred. This position is not remote and requires on-site work.
Overview:

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for Building System Maintenance Technician at our East River Green Bay, WI plant.

As Building System Maintenance Technician, you will:
• Oversee all mechanical aspects of boilers, water system, pneumatic system, and laundry equipment.
• Maintain chemical usage and testing for boilers, refrigeration, and laundry.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
• Read, understand, and complete work orders, operational manuals.
• Read and understand safety guidelines.
• Carry out verbal instructions.
• Work closely with the refrigeration.
• Support continuous improvements.
• Maintain minimal production downtime and help find solutions to reduce down time.
• Maintain effective relations with team and co-workers.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the shop work area.
• Follow all Food Safety, SQF, and Safety policies.
• Making sure all PPE is properly used as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to successfully complete training:
• Safety.
• Safe Quality Food (SQF).
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Food defense.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility.
• Experience with PSM Requirements
• Work history in the last 12 months.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
