Battery Energy Storage System Specialist

Westinghouse Electric Company is hiring a Battery Energy Storage System Specialist for a 1-year contract role based in Canton, MA, primarily remote with occasional travel for testing. Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a highly qualified BESS Commissioning Manager- Analytics to join our team. As part of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning and performance testing of our Battery Energy Storage Systems.

This is a 1-year contract position that involves occasional travel within the United States for testing purposes. The remaining work is primarily remote, focused on providing support through SCADA monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of battery energy storage systems installation and startup, as well as a thorough knowledge of the technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS. You will also possess excellent commissioning process creation skills and a strong understanding of containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers, combiners.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough plant testing and performance testing
• Support PPA Testing with Customer, GIA Testing with TO and ISO testing
• Manage test energy forecast with the customer
• Support ICCP IT SCADA Team and SCADA PM/Lead with functional checks
• Work with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project manager to develop a Commissioning schedule based on Mechanical completion
• Work with SCADA integrator and Commissioning Manger to execute site acceptance testing
• Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD
• Perform OEM Testing, Plant Balancing, Capacity Testing and notification of AVR/AGC and support
