Avian Conservation Technician

PacifiCorp is seeking an Avian Conservation Technician in Laramie, WY, to implement conservation strategies for birds and their habitats. Key responsibilities include conducting avian surveys, developing bird-friendly practices, and collaborating with stakeholders. Candidates should have an associate's degree in a relevant field and two years of experience in wildlife conservation. This is a full-time position focused on sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Avian Conservation Program

The Avian Conservation Program at PacifiCorp is dedicated to protecting birds and their habitats through proactive conservation strategies. As an Avian Conservation Technician, you will play a critical role in implementing these strategies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Main Responsibilities
• Conduct avian surveys and monitoring programs to inform conservation efforts.
• Develop and implement bird-friendly practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of avian conservation activities.
• Provide technical assistance and support to colleagues on avian conservation policies and procedures.

Requirements
• Associate's degree or higher in Wildlife, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Two years of professional experience in wildlife conservation or a related field.
• Bird and wildlife identification skills.
• Knowledge of conservation biology and ecology.
