SCS Global Services is hiring a Sustainable Seafood Chain of Custody Auditor in Canada. The role involves assessing compliance with MSC, ASC, and RFM certification standards through audits at client locations. Candidates should have relevant experience in the seafood or food industry, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in business software. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is required, along with 2-4 years of applicable experience.
Job Summary
Auditor, Sustainable Seafood Chain of Custody
Sustainable Seafood Chain of Custody Auditors at SCS Global Services work independently or in teams to assess practices and systems relative to MSC, ASC & RFM certification standards. They travel to client offices, processing plants, and consumer-facing organizations to evaluate field activities and ensure compliance with established protocols.
This is a contract position that requires strong organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in the seafood or fisheries industry, food industry, supply chain management, science, or traceability, and be proficient in business software including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
About the Role
Audit Coordination: Schedule and confirm audit dates with clients, prepare and send audit plans according to protocols, book travel, hotel, and transportation, and submit expense reports.
Audit Services: Conduct audits using applicable checklists, forms, and tools, maintain positive client relationships, respond to all client inquiries and concerns, and submit complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental or biological science, marine biology, business, economics, or technical program, and two years' work experience in any of the mentioned industries. Alternatively, they may hold a Master's degree or equivalent in business, economics, environmental or biological science, or technical program, or 2-4 years' work experience applicable to the description above.
