Job Description
The National Environment Agency is hiring an Assistant Research Officer for its Chemical Assessment and Toxicology Branch in Singapore. The role involves conducting field and laboratory research, focusing on environmental exposure, data analysis, and developing public health policies. Candidates should have a diploma in science or related fields, experience in data analysis and field research, and strong organizational skills. This is a contractor position.
What the role is:
You will be a part of NEA’s Environmental Health Institute (EHI), where you will conduct field and laboratory research to assess and mitigate environmental exposure concerns in the outdoor environment.
What you will be working on:
Key areas of focus include field sampling, laboratory duties, and data analysis. You will contribute to the development of national environmental public health policies and work with stakeholders to translate scientific findings into policy and operations.
What we are looking for:
Diploma in science, chemistry, data science, or related disciplinesExperience in data analysis, statistical analysis, and data visualisationExperience in conducting field sampling and research projects in the outdoor environmentInterest in public health research, policy, and operationsDetail-oriented with good organisational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsAble to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
