The Department of Architecture invites applications for the position of Associate Professor (Practice) position.
The Master of Science (Integrated Sustainable Design) is a one-year graduate degree programme that has established a reputation for advancing a systems approach to design. We understand the systems designer as one who formulates holistic, data-driven, and sustainable strategies into urban planning and architecture. He/she has the capacity to visualise and develop pedagogies around a systems approach to design that considers social, economic, and ecological factors, and apply them to multi-scalar problems, linking regional planning, urban design, and building systems. Knowledge of data-driven methods and tools (AI, GIS, parametric modelling) for predictive and evidence-based modelling will be advantageous.
The Department of Architecture in the College of Design and Engineering is ranked among the top 10 in the world, and Asia’s best in Architecture/Built Environment, based on the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (2024). It offers the professionally accredited Master of Architecture programme as well as a range of graduate and undergraduate programmes in related fields such as urban planning/design, landscape architecture and conservation. The faculty is correspondingly diverse and international.
