Amentum is seeking a Registered Architect for Environmental & Urban Planning in Idaho Falls, ID. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, relevant licensure, and experience with commercial or industrial designs. Proficiency in design software and knowledge of building codes are required. This position may involve business travel and is not fully remote.

Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited Architectural programLicensed Architect in Tennessee with current registration or licensed in another state with ability to obtain TN licensureExperience designing commercial or industrial facilitiesDemonstrate experience of delivering a range of projects from concept through detailed design completion.Experience with International Building Code (IBC)Producing specifications and reviewing work of other staff for technical accuracy and provide guidanceStrong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriatenessAbility to Follow established Amentum quality procedures and ensures that all work accomplished under their control is accomplished under established quality proceduresExperience working within a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1Competent using discipline specific software such as: Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, etc…Competent using Microsoft 365 software.US citizen required.Preferred Qualifications:LEED AP certificationAble to lead groups of architects and designers to complete technical portions of projects within established budgets and schedules.Experience with Department of Energy (DOE) standards and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulationsMaster's degree is a plusDOE Q clearance is preferred but not requiredA person residing a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN officeNCARB registration is preferred but not requiredExperience facilitating Charrettes desired but not requiredDOE experience is desirable but not required.Project Management ExperienceVisualization/Graphic CapabilitiesEssential Functions:Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary.
