Gensler is seeking a Senior Architect and Urban Designer in Mexico City to lead design projects focused on creating sustainable urban environments. Responsibilities include providing design leadership, managing project budgets, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with community needs. Job Title: Senior Architect and Urban Designer

As a Senior Architect and Urban Designer at Gensler, you will lead design projects and initiatives to create high-quality urban environments that are sustainable, equitable, and meet the needs of the community.

Your Role Will Include:
• Providing design leadership, mentorship, and management to a team of designers, planners, and architects.
• Developing and managing project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are aligned with community needs, policies, and regulations.
• Interacting and communicating with clients and consultants during the design phase and at presentations.
• Evaluating and taking into consideration economic, social, regulatory, and physical factors affecting planning and design decisions for proposed projects.
• Liaising with clients, government agencies, and project stakeholders requiring excellent communication and people management skills.
• Managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination.

Key Qualifications:
• Degree in Urban Design or Architecture Master's qualification preferred.
• 10+ years' experience as an Urban Designer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Knowledge and passion for working on a variety of urban design & master planning projects across multiple sectors.
• Experience managing teams and leading design projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of urban design principles, including sustainability, accessibility, placemaking, and community engagement.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• GIS Mapping & database skills are preferred.
• Passion for seeking innovative, sustainable, and creative design solutions for ever challenging design propositions.
• A firm grasp of local and international codes is essential.
• Possess a high level of visual and verbal skill, and a high level of freehand and rendering skills.
