Job Description

NorthWestern Energy seeks an Application Administrator for its Helena, MT office, open to candidates in South Dakota and Montana. The role requires a bachelor's degree and experience in application administration, automation, and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Responsibilities include designing, configuring, and supporting applications, providing technical support, and ensuring system performance. The position is full-time with a salary range of $55,600 to $115,000 and includes benefits.
Location open to South Dakota and Montana locations (Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Missoula)

Qualifications Include
• Bachelor's Degree from four-year accredited college with some related experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Understanding of concepts and techniques related to application administration, application support, automation and integration
• Understanding of network, security architecture and virtual architecture, including virtual delivery of applications
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities
• Experience with:
• Application implementations and upgrades
• Application administration and automation
• PowerShell
• SSL/TLS bindings; certificate management
• IIS / .NET administration
• Windows administration
• Application monitoring
• Microsoft 365 Power Platform and Dynamics365
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; driving a project from inception to completion
• Affinity for solving problems and diving deep into the details
• Strong written/oral communication and documentation skills
• Knowledge of DevOps fundamentals
• Ability to travel (up to 15% of time) and extended hours may be required
• Ability to pass a drug test and a background check
• Enterprise Service Bus middleware administration, Linux system administration and Robotic Process Automation experience a plus

Duties Include
• Partner with stakeholders to identify problems and develop requirements for solutions
• Design, install, configure, administer, enhance and support COTS applications
• Administer and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, including user management, security roles and access controls
• Manage and configure Power Platform tools, such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, to meet business requirements
• Ensure the stability, performance and availability of Dynamics 365 applications and related integrations
• Monitor system usage, performance metrics and logs to identify and address potential issues proactively
• Support upgrades, updates and patches to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environments
• Customize Dynamics 365 modules to align with organizational needs, including creating fields, entities and views
• Provide first-line technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly
• Document system configurations, processes and changes for future reference and auditing purposes
• Monitor system updates and new features released by Microsoft to identify opportunities for enhancement
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills to evaluate/troubleshoot complex issues
• Effectively and efficiently organize, plan, execute and coordinate multiple work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates
• Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
• Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
• Demonstrate adherence to company safety and security standards

Full-time position.

$55,600 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience.
