About the Role:

Telos Prep is seeking an ethical, professional, and reliable Biology/Science Tutor to join our remote team. We operate on a specialized team-based model, where students receive comprehensive support from a network of Head Counselors, Essay Editors, and Subject Tutors. As a tutor, you will provide critical subject-specific support to help our students strengthen their academic foundations.




What You'll Do:

Subject-Specific Tutoring: Provide expert tutoring in Biology and general sciences (including AP/Honors levels), focusing on building student confidence and academic excellence in STEM.Student-Centered Instruction: Emphasize clear explanations and a Socratic, student-participation approach to learning rather than simple lecturing.Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly within our team-based model, aligning your academic support with the broader strategic goals set by the student's Head Counselor.Prompt Communication: Maintain professional, timely communication to support students and families. Respond to client and internal communications promptly, typically within 24 business hours.


Who You Are:

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Biology, STEM Education, Pre-Med, or a closely related scientific field is required.Tutoring Experience: Proven experience tutoring high school students in sciences, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with the AP Biology curriculum and exam structure.Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working in a remote, AI-enhanced environment where technology is used to serve the relationship and optimize operations.


Schedule & Work Environment:

Remote Setup: This role is structured as remote (U.S.-based).Flexible Hours: Work hours are flexible within reason, provided all deliverables are completed on time and client communication remains timely and professional.Availability: Must be available during after-school hours (3:00 PM to 10:00 PM PST) and on weekends.
