Job Summary:
The DGM/GM - Sales & Business Development (EPC) will lead origination, evaluation, structuring, and closure of renewable energy projects (Solar / Solar + Storage / Hybrid). This leadership role demands:
Strong business acumen in renewable and power marketsExtensive experience with RE Power Developer, Renewable Energy Development Agencies,
Corporate and DISCOMs
Ability to assess EPC project scope including technical design, cost benchmarking, procurement strategy, contracts, risk evaluation, and execution feasibilityStrong deal-closing abilityA well-established network with industry stakeholders The selected professional will be responsible for front-ending strategic EPC opportunities, leading techno-
commercial proposals, developing partnerships, and driving order book growth in the renewable EPC business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Market Strategy (EPC / C&I / Open Access)
Identify and develop new business opportunities for EPC execution of utility-scale solar, C&I ground-mount/ rooftop, hybrid, and storage projects.Conduct detailed market scans, competitor benchmarking, policy assessments, RfP pipeline mapping and customer demand analysis for EPC opportunities.Lead end-to-end EPC opportunity life cycle including lead sourcing, client meetings, RfP evaluation, proposal preparation, bid strategy and final submission/closure.Drive lead generation through industry networks, EPC-relevant partnerships, and active participation in Private tenders.Develop and execute business development strategies to scale EPC order book and revenue growth.Lead origination and qualification of EPC projects including technical scope understanding, grid requirements, costing benchmarks, risk analysis and contractual terms evaluation.
2. Commercial & Financial Structuring
Lead commercial negotiations with clients, developers, industries, and corporate customers for utility-scale, C&I, hybrid and storage EPC projects.Structure competitive offers for EPC projects including BOQ pricing, engineering scope,
procurement packages, subcontracting, and execution deliverables.
Closely collaborate with internal finance, engineering, and supply chain teams for:
Project costing & bid pricing
Estimation and cost benchmarking (modules, BoS, civil, electrical, logistics etc.)


Margin and cash-flow optimization


Sensitivity analysis on material prices, currency & schedule risks


Engage with OEMs, suppliers, EPC subcontractors and service partners.Support contract structuring & finalization including conditions of contract.
3. Relationship Management
Build strong working relationships with:
Renewable project developers and EPCs
Corporate procurement heads
Renewable Energy Development Agencies
DISCOM leadership and state nodal agencies
Participate and represent BVG at industryevents, exhibitions, policydialogues, investment summits and workshops.Establish alliance partnerships for hybrid (solar-
