This is an opportunity to learn about our unique approach to climate impact analysis and gain exposure to some of the most exciting new technologies including, but not limited to Energy, Transportation, Food & Ag, New Materials, Waste to Value, and Water.Research Interns are expected to work 20 hours per week, remotely, receiving direction and guidance from a Senior Research Analyst. The resulting company reports frequently influenced investor decisions.ResponsibilitiesAssist with researching, developing, and maintaining a repository of environmental and financial impact metrics.Perform detailed literature research, using various information and data sources, to characterize the environmental impact of specific technology areas.Support Boundless documentation through PowerPoint presentations and technical reports.Development of climate impact scores for various industries.QualificationsCurrent undergraduate or graduate with a science or engineering background, and an interest in research, impact measurement and sustainability.Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.Able to diligently review several types of data sources and select appropriate information from them.Competence in modeling and analysis in Excel.Attention to detail and transparency (e.g., documenting assumptions and references).Strong intuition for the functional unit for various technology areas (e.g., liters of potable water, lumens of light).Ability to be an effective member of project teams.Positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, proactivity, and strong attention to detail.CultureSmall, growing and collaborative team, lots of cross‑role interactionMission driven company and profitable productBoundless is an industry research and environmental impact analytics firm that provides objective and actionable information to move investment dollars more quickly toward clean technologies and climate solutions.
