Wind Turbine Technician – North Brown Hill Wind Farm

Role Overview:

AGL is seeking a qualified Wind Turbine Technician to join our team at the North Brown Hill Wind Farm in South Australia. Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing, inspection, and monitoring of wind farm assets.

Prepare work records and reports, including data entry into SAP.

Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and standards.

Supervise service providers and contractors to ensure work is conducted safely and to appropriate standards.

Provide and receive on-the-job training, including mentoring employees to maintain high skill levels and safety standards.

Qualifications, Key Skills, and Experience Required:

Electrical (Preferred) OR Mechanical Trade qualification (with a “disconnect reconnect” licence required).

Understanding of wind farm operations and maintenance OR heavy industry on-site experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective liaison at all levels.

Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Experience with HV/LV systems, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments.

Willingness to work at heights and in confined environments.

About North Brown Hill Wind Farm:

The North Brown Hill Wind Farm, located near Hallett in South Australia, consists of 63 wind turbine generators with a total capacity of 132.3 MW. Operational since 2011, it plays a significant role in providing clean, renewable energy to the region.
