Job Description
The Wildlife Maintenance Propagator position at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania involves specialized technical and skilled trades work at a game farm. Responsibilities include raising and caring for pheasants, maintaining farm facilities and equipment, and leading seasonal workers. This full-time role requires a variety of skills such as carpentry and plumbing, with a work schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Telework is not an option.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In this position, you will perform a variety of farming and skilled trades duties to help meet our quota of about 140,000 pheasants, serve as a lead worker of seasonal Game Farm Workers, and help maintain farm records. The raising, caring, and distribution of pheasants involves ensuring the brooder houses are clean, ventilated, and properly maintained; providing the birds with appropriate food, water, and medication; and catching and moving birds from brooder houses or holding pens to shipping crates as needed for distribution to designated areas for release. You will also perform maintenance on facilities and equipment used for farm operations and on Commonwealth buildings, grounds, and fleet vehicles. Skilled trades work for this role includes but is not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, farming, and mechanical.
