Job Summary

The ERM International Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled Water Resource Management Director to lead our water management services in Canada. This senior leadership role will be responsible for providing technical expertise to expand our water management services and client base in Canada.

As a Technical Director with leadership experience, you will oversee the preparation of technical documents in your field of expertise, including hands-on interpretation and delegation of work to junior staff. You will also contribute to business development in our global impact assessment and planning service area by identifying and developing new opportunities, preparing effective technical proposals, and taking an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise to expand our water management services and client base in Canada.
• Lead the preparation of technical documents in your field of expertise.
• Contribute to business development in our global impact assessment and planning service area.
• Collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with other ERM subject matter experts to integrate our different types of work and communicate our collective findings to a wide range of audiences.

About The Role

We are looking for a P.Eng. or P.Geo with MSc/PhD in civil or environmental engineering or related field who has 8+ years (15+ years preferred) of consulting experience in water resource management, impact assessment and permitting in the Mining Sector. You must have specific expertise in hydrometeorology, water balance and/or geochemical modeling, hydraulic and hydrologic modelling and modeling of environmental water quality. A solid grasp of the key regulatory drivers within the mining and energy sector, as well as a high degree of technical competence and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices, is essential.

You will have strong English writing and presentation skills and be able to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Your big-picture understanding of our business, and ability to build strong client relationships based on trust and mutual benefit, will be critical.
