Remineralize the Earth is seeking a Volunteer Web Developer to assist in building their WordPress website. Candidates should have experience with WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The role involves collaborating with the IT team on website functionality and performance. The position is flexible, with communication via Slack and biweekly meetings. No specific degree is required, and the job is a volunteer opportunity.
Position: Volunteer Web Developer for Exciting Environmental Non-Profit! We are excited to welcome an additional web developer to our current IT team as we continue building our new website in Word Press and Gutenberg. As the scope of the project grows, we are looking for another developer to collaborate closely with the team on implementation, functionality, and performance.The candidate must have hands-on experience with Word Press and PHP , as these skills are essential to successfully contribute to the project.QualificationsWe are seeking a Word Press-focused web developer with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development. Ideal candidates will have experience with:Word Press site development, customization, and maintenancePHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom themes, plugins, and functionalityImplementing and extending existing themes and page builders (e.g., Gutenberg)Ensuring responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibilityOptimizing site performance, security, and scalabilityCollaborating with designers to translate UI/UX concepts into functional pagesExperience working within a shared development environment is highly valued, as you’ll be working alongside team members contributing to different parts of the site.About Remineralize the EarthAt Remineralize the Earth, we promote soil remineralization and enhanced rock weathering (ERW)—the use of finely ground rock dust and sea-based minerals to restore soils and forests, increase crop yields and nutritional quality, and help store carbon in soils to stabilize the climate.The ProjectYou will collaborate with the IT team on the development and functionality of our new Word Press website over the next few months. The schedule is flexible.
