We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client’s reputable automotive service centre in Colchester, Essex. Vehicle Technician vacancy benefits include:

Competitive basic salary of £34,000 per annum, with uncapped earning potential including bonuses

Performance-based earning opportunities up to £6,780 OTE

Additional incentives through a £3,000 Productivity Bonus and a Time Saved Bonus Scheme

Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with every 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am to 12:30pm) on a rota

A professional setting dedicated to high standards and excellent service deliveryVehicle Technician duties will include:

Conducting pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles to ensure quality standards are met

Performing inspections and checks following manufacturer guidelines

Fitting additional accessories requested by customers accurately and professionally

Carrying out vehicle health checks and reporting any further work required

Performing basic diagnosis and minor repairs on mechanical and electrical systems

Servicing vehicles according to manufacturer instructions and customer requests

Handling warranty repairs in line with manufacturer protocols

Road testing vehicles to verify fault rectification before customer handover

Completing all relevant documentation accurately and to a professional standardVehicle Technician requirements:

Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification

Relevant motor industry experience, gained in dealer groups or independent garages

Full, valid UK driving licence

Self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to develop new skills

Ability to work to high standards and deliver excellent customer service
