Job Description

At Ecoplexus, we are seeking a passionate individual to join our renewable energy team as VP of Origination. This role is ideal for self-starters with imagination and creativity who possess the drive to achieve and assume increasing responsibility in a dynamic growth environment.

We design, build, finance, own, and operate large solar, wind, and energy storage projects across the US, Mexico, and Asia. With an annual growth rate of over 50% since its founding in 2009, Ecoplexus is a rapidly growing developer of renewable energy projects serving corporate and utility energy purchasers.

Role Responsibilities:
• Lead the Origination team's external presence, representing the company to potential customers and collaborating with the team to define and act in the company's interest.
• Translate company financial, commercial, technical, and operational goals into effective contracting strategies and targets.
• BUILD AND MAINTAIN EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS, INCLUDING LARGE UTILITY AND CORPORATE COUNTERPARTIES, BROKERS, GOVERNMENT ENTITIES, AND OTHERS THAT CAN DRIVE DISCOVERY OF KEY MARKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
• Analyze and develop different structures for the customer, including risk mitigation solutions to ensure risks are appropriately managed and quantified.
• Assemble and lead internal cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams through solicitation and negotiation processes.
• Oversee the internal development of key project revenue agreements and provide overall leadership during negotiations.
• Innovate strategies and tactics to identify, structure, and close deals that increase the company's value globally across markets and technologies.
• Manage and grow the Origination team.
• INCREASE ECOPLEXUS' BRAND RECOGNITION.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of energy-related business development experience, including originating/negotiating PPAs and/or asset acquisitions.
• Experience as a senior-level Originator at a leading IPP or renewable developer.
• * Extensive experience analyzing and structuring complex agreements.
