Urban Planning Project Coordinator

About the Role

Our team is seeking a highly motivated Urban Planner to join us in our Southern California offices, with the flexibility to work in office or remotely. As a member of our Community Development team, you will serve as project manager and contributing author for community planning documents, including Specific/Master Plans, Area Plans, Neighborhood Plans, General Plan Updates, and Climate Adaptation Plans.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate task or project delivery schedules, manage logistics, disseminate and maintain related information and resources;
• Assist with budget tracking and invoicing, meet with team members to gauge progress toward task completion;
• Respond to team member or client questions about assigned tasks or projects;
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques and procedures in the development of planning documents;
• Effectively communicate with staff, clients, and teaming partners, serving as a trusted professional bringing creative and innovative solutions to clients.

Other job duties may include managing projects involving a multi-disciplinary team, business development, working closely with clients, leading or assisting with proposal efforts, occasional traveling for project work, quality control of project deliverables, and training junior level staff.
