Civil & Environmental Consultants is seeking a Transportation Engineer - Project Manager to design and manage roadway infrastructure projects for various clients. The role involves engineering design, project management, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and a Professional Engineering license. About the position
As a Transportation Engineering Project Manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you’ll play a key role in designing and managing roadway infrastructure for a wide range of clients from local municipalities to state DOTs and private developers. CEC Bridgeport is part of our West Virginia operations, which includes offices in Martinsburg and Charleston. Our Bridgeport office is conveniently located off of interstate 79 and is within walking distance of multiple restaurants. We're ranked #1 in West Virginia on the 2024 ENR Mid-Atlantic Top Design Firms List and since opening in 2012, we've been the fastest-growing West Virginia Consulting firms. Responsibilities
Perform engineering design, analysis, task management, and project management duties on all types of transportation projects for a broad range of commercial, industrial, and government clientsGeometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, cost estimates, and other related effortsManaging highway and local roadway engineering projects to provide quality delivery of project submittalsManaging project contracts and financials, be involved with business development and marketing efforts including identifying potential opportunities and supporting proposal and interview effortsMentoring junior-level staffMonitoring workload needs throughout the entire project developmentRequirements
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering required8+ years of relevant experience requiredProfessional Engineering (P.E.) license requiredDOT experience requiredIntermediate to advanced knowledge of roadway design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferredDiverse experience in roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, and right-of-way Plan preparationExperience in proposal preparation and engineering fee estimatingNice-to-haves
Task lead and/or project management experience preferredWVDOH experience is a plusExperience in grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities preferredBenefits
