We are looking for a business focused senior leader to join our team who will spearhead our environmentally-focused initiatives and drive sustainability practices throughout our Innovation and commercial cycles.

Job Summary:

The Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance Director will be responsible for leading the global sustainability strategy, including conceptualizing and developing the vision and strategy for the company's sustainability efforts and implementing initiatives to deliver against our sustainability goals. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure sustainability is integrated into the company's operations, culture, and product offerings. This position is instrumental in fostering relationships with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations towards our sustainability goals, both internally and externally.

The Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance Director will report to the VP, Business Tech, Electronics & Industrial.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a long-term sustainability strategy and develop goals aligned with the company's business objectives that focus on reducing our environmental impact and improving social responsibility.

Cross-Department

Collaboration:

Own the success and delivery of sustainability initiatives, overseeing the programs and effectiveness of program implementations across businesses and corporate functions.

Team Leadership and Management Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for sustainability initiatives and foster relationships with customers, investors, regulatory bodies, industry associations and community stakeholders to promote sustainability efforts.

Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and sustainability standards. Prepare and present regular reports on sustainability metrics and progress to the executive team.

Innovation and Best Practices:

Inform company leaders on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sustainability. Identify, develop, and implement new initiatives that promote sustainable business practices.

Education and Training:
Advocate for sustainability within the company by developing educational programs and training sessions for employees to foster a culture of sustainability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Sustainability, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

Proven experience in a leadership role focused on sustainability or corporate social responsibility, with a minimum of 15 years of industry experience with a strong knowledge of sustainability and governance.

Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing business focused strategies across large businesses.

Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP) and environmental regulations.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders.

A role model for company values, culture, and ethical standards and ability to hold teams to the same standard.

Experience communicating to audiences with the willingness to represent the company's interests at the highest levels.

Internal partnership skills and experience working across multiple teams in a large organization, align goals, and develop execution plans.

Experience fostering and managing partnerships with private sector partners, NGOs, governments, and multilateral organizations.
