About the position

As a Sustainability and Government Affairs Intern at Devon, you will have the opportunity to engage in a dynamic and impactful internship that focuses on the intersection of public policy, sustainability, and the energy sector. This role is designed for graduate and undergraduate students who are eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in the oil and natural gas industry. You will be involved in supporting the company's public and government affairs strategies, as well as its sustainability initiatives. Your work will include monitoring emerging regulatory and legislative developments at various levels of government, conducting research on policies and political trends, and analyzing their potential impacts on the company and the industry as a whole. In this internship, you will also examine best practices in sustainability disclosure and performance, contributing to the company's efforts to enhance its sustainability initiatives. You will build fluency in the fundamental drivers of global energy markets, which will inform the company's medium- and long-term strategies related to government affairs and climate change. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating political events and engage with a variety of stakeholders to promote the company's values and objectives. Responsibilities
• Support the company's public, government affairs and sustainability strategies.

Requirements
• Interest in government relations, lobbying, law, public policy, sustainability, environmental, climate or related fields.
