Job Description

The University of Kentucky is seeking a part-time Sustainability Professional Intern in Lexington, KY, for students enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program. Responsibilities include assisting with program development, conducting an independent project, and attending bi-weekly meetings. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and in teams. No prior experience is necessary, and the salary is $15.55 per hour.

Required Related Experience Student currently enrolled at an accredited university in a Bachelor's or Master's program, within a year from graduating or a graduate of an accredited university Bachelor's or Master's program who have obtained their degrees no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire; no previous experience required.
Required License/Registration/Certification NA
Physical Requirements lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs., sitting for long periods of time
Shift 8-10 hours per week
Job Summary Students filling this position will work with university leaders from a wide range of operational and academic units. Major responsibilities include:
• Assist the development, outreach, and implementation of programs
• Produce an independent project
• Attend bi-weekly cohort meetings for professional development
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Knowledge of or familiarity with defined area of operational/administrative/technical specialty.
Entry-level knowledge and skill at the Bachelors or Masters level within specified area of professional specialty. Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions.
Project planning skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree obtained no earlier than 24 months prior to the
date of hire; no previous work experience required.
