IMEG Corp. is offering a Sustainability & Energy Engineering Internship in Madison, WI, for individuals pursuing degrees in engineering or architecture. About the position

At IMEG Corp., one of the largest design consulting firms in the U.S., we are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Sustainability & Energy Engineering Intern on our Strategic Growth Services team. This internship is designed for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of sustainability and energy efficiency within the built environment. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants to conduct engineering analysis and implement sustainability measures in buildings. You will have the opportunity to support sustainable design through various analyses, including energy modeling, daylight analysis, carbon analysis, life cycle cost analysis, and certification support for LEED, WELL, PHIUS, and Green Globes. This position will require you to work within project budgets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. Over the course of 10-12 weeks, you will gain valuable insights into the industry and contribute to meaningful projects that promote sustainability. Responsibilities
• Assist with supporting sustainable design practices across the company
,
• Assist with building performance analyses on IMEG projects
,
• Assist with the achievement of project's green building certification, including performing energy modeling and documentation
,
• Lead certification efforts for the entire project team
,
• Coordinate design information from other disciplines such as architectural and engineering teams

Requirements
• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field
,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
,
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy efficiency measures
,
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
,
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with energy modeling software
,
• Knowledge of LEED, WELL, PHIUS, or Green Globes certification processes

• Familiarity with building performance analysis tools
