About the Role:

As a CBRE Energy and Sustainability Director, you will assist with the oversight of the department responsible for the development and execution of energy management programs. This job is part of the Energy and Sustainability function, responsible for the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs.

What You’ll Do:
• Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Guide the energy and sustainability team in implementing new technologies and finding cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with the internal platform team on energy procurement and energy-related capital projects.
• Assist in choosing initiatives based on cost-effectiveness and reputation improvement.
• Provide strategic and technical guidance in energy and sustainability management.
• Work with client and project management teams to evaluate project costs, incorporating energy and sustainability factors.
• Communicate energy plans and performance through presentations to the account team and clients.
• Present monthly reports on energy and sustainability status and hold monthly meetings.
• Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, and negotiate with external partners to achieve common goals.
• Identify and solve complex operational and organizational problems.
• Improve existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ability to convey sensitive information and handle problems effectively.
• Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets impacting multiple department results.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
