Jacobs is seeking a Sustainability Consultant in the Philippines to oversee environmental and sustainability aspects of planning, design, and construction. Responsibilities include developing compliance programs, advising on permitting strategies, and engaging in design reviews. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 8+ years of experience in sustainability consulting. Jacobs offers a hybrid working policy, allowing flexibility between office and remote work.

We are currently looking for a Sustainability Consultant who will be responsible for overseeing the environmental and sustainability aspects of the planning, design, and construction functions.

Responsibilities
• You will review environmental regulatory requirements and permit conditions and develop an environmental compliance program and periodically assess compliance with these requirements
• This position will have responsibility for supporting the client's environmental permitting activities with national and local government agencies
• You will advise the client and Program team on permitting requirements and participate in the development of permitting strategies
• This individual will engage in design reviews and periodically monitor construction activities.

Here's what you'll need
• Bachelors or Master's Degree in relevant discipline such as Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering or Sustainability Management
• Relevant 8+ years of experience in Sustainability in consulting or client industry specifically in climate resilience, sustainability, low-carbon, climate change and/or green infrastructure sectors
• Experience in conducting Materiality Assessment and in developing ESG/Sustainability Strategy and Implementation Roadmaps
• Familiarity with Sustainability Frameworks and Standards such as GRI, SASB,GRESB, CDP, TCFD, IFC PS etc.
• Experience with Sustainability Reporting- story boarding, content development and proofing
• Knowledge of GHG Accounting and GHG protocols. Experience with Scope 3 emissions assessment and management is desirable
• Experience in conducting climate risk assessments (physical and/or transitional risks)
• Familiarity with Science Based Targets (SBTi) and experience with advising clients on carbon reductions and developing implementation roadmap
• Experience in carbon reduction advisory - reduction strategy, net zero roadmaps
• A passion for influencing change within the context of the Climate Emergency, by using collaboration, innovation, and an outcomes-based approach for improving society
• Demonstrable knowledge of climate change legislation and environmental policy
• Demonstrable technical background, with strong numerical skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of data and critically analyze information
• Experience in preparing quantitative climate risk assessments as well as qualitative assessments
• Experience in climate resilience implementation and planning
• Broad range of consultancy skills, including collaboration, negotiating, presenting and budget management
