Job Description
Cundall is seeking a Sustainability Associate in Birmingham, UK, to lead their Sustainability & Building Physics team. The role involves project management, client interaction, and business development across various sectors, focusing on sustainability services. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering or the Built Environment and relevant experience. Excellent communication skills and industry leadership are essential. The role will be to help lead and develop our growing UK Sustainability & Building Physics team. There will be a strong focus on resource, people and financial management, with an emphasis on business development and industry leadership. You will be required to quickly assimilate the innovative services we have developed so that you can use these to promote our services and wider Cundall capacity in the local market.
Working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will design, analyse, report and document Sustainability & Building Physics projects as well as interface with clients. You will work across a variety of sectors and will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as we support the development of your professional skills.
You will be responsible for client management and project delivery for our key work streams:
• Building physics and parametric model services
• Building performance and operational energy optimisation
• Certification and compliance
• Health and wellbeing advice and guidance
• Net zero and whole life carbon services
• Sustainability design and ESG services
Requirements
Chartered Engineer educated to degree/ Masters level (or equivalent) in Engineering or the Built Environment. You will have gained relevant practical experience in a similar role, have demonstrable knowledge and experience of sustainability and building physics. An understanding of financial, people and resource management is critical.
A good working knowledge across all of our sustainability services will be important and you should have demonstrated industry leadership in at least one of our six workstreams.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
