Job Description
The City of Indianapolis is seeking a highly qualified Sustainability Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the city's sustainability plan, working closely with various stakeholders to promote environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce the city's carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices.
• Collaborate with city departments, community groups, and businesses to advance sustainability initiatives.
• Provide education and outreach to residents, businesses, and organizations on sustainable practices and policies.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices and innovative solutions for sustainability challenges.
Qualifications:
• Masters degree in environmental management, urban planning, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in sustainability, environmental policy, or a related field.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
