Job Description
Eos Energy Storage is seeking a Senior Systems Technician in Edison, NJ, responsible for designing, operating, and maintaining mid and high voltage system test setups and battery testing systems. Key duties include assembling electrical control panels, performing maintenance, and mentoring junior technicians. Candidates should have strong electrical system knowledge, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and 8 years of relevant experience. Local travel is required.

The Senior Systems Technician is accountable for the creation, design, operation, and maintenance of mid voltage (< 200V) and high voltage (< 1500 V) system test setups, equipment, and battery testing systems. They are also accountable for following schematics and blueprints to assemble electrical control panels and battery storage systems to product specification.
Responsibilities
• Design, lay out, and assemble test setups
• Work with external vendors to source components and assemblies
• Schedule and prioritize work across the team as well as with external contractors
• Perform mechanical sub-assembly and assembly work utilizing basic hand tools such as screw drivers and wrenches, written instruction sheets, blueprints, and fixtures
• Install wiring into enclosures, which includes routing and fastening of wire to structure using wire ties and cable clamps
• Follow detailed work instructions and/or documents which include electrical wiring routing and drawings, written and digital
• Use appropriate measuring tools, equipment and measuring techniques to verify first piece acceptance
• Perform preventative maintenance work on machines, tools, and test equipment
• Test components against specification and performance requirements
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
• Serve as a key member of the engineering team, always assisting others while remaining committed to quality results
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
• Provide expertise and advice in team meetings
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned at any time
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong familiarity with tools and concepts related to electrical systems and panel assembly
• Effectively communicate with clients and fellow employees both verbally and in writing
• Ability to perform basic and complex geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric mathematical computations
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to complex and practical situations
• Knowledge of drafting, design, and layout
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or technical degree in electrical, systems, or similar preferred.
• 8 years of experience, or combination of education and experience required

Working Conditions
• Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
