Solar Structural Design Engineers (Ground Mounted Projects)

Evolve Energy Group is hiring a Solar Structural Design Engineer for ground-mounted projects in Chennai, India. The role involves designing structural systems for solar installations, preparing fabrication drawings, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes. Candidates should have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and 1–3 years of experience in solar or infrastructure design, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
Job Summary:

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer with expertise in ground-mounted solar projects. The role includes structural design of solar mounting systems, RCC and open RCC control rooms, and various types of buildings based on soil investigation reports. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing fabrication drawings and detailed construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and analyze structural systems for ground-mounted solar PV projects.
• * Prepare structural designs for RCC control rooms (closed and open), inverter rooms, and any other buildings required at site.
• * Interpret soil investigation reports to determine suitable foundation types (pile, isolated, combined, raft, etc.).
• * Develop fabrication drawings for module mounting structures and all related civil/structural components.
• * Prepare GFC (Good for Construction) and BOQ drawings using AutoCAD and structural design software.
• * Ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, and other applicable standards.
• * Coordinate with project, civil, and site execution teams to ensure design feasibility and clarity.
• * Support during execution with on-site clarifications and structural checks as needed.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• * 1–3 years of relevant experience in solar or infrastructure structural design.
• * Proficiency in AutoCAD; Staad Pro or equivalent structural analysis software is an added advantage.
• * Strong understanding of IS codes and other relevant codes.
• * Experience in reading and applying soil investigation reports in design.
• * Ability to prepare fabrication-level drawings and detailed structural layouts.
• * Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
